About the Fox Family Farm

welcome to the fox family farm, we are so grateful you are here!

We are a homesteading, homeschooling family of five who never imagined ourselves as farmers but continued to feel God’s pull to do something different, to step outside of our comfort zones. In 2016 we broke ground and began building a house on “more land” at the time we had no idea what the land would be used for or truly what the full plan would be but we felt strongly that the Lord wanted us here.

We finished our house and  moved to our little farm at the end of 2018 with just 1 dog and a cockatiel. We were nowhere near a “farm” but we were on our land and excited to see what God had planned for us.

About a  year after moving to our land we realized our youngest daughter had an allergy to cow’s milk and couldn’t have conventional dairy products. I didn’t love the options the grocery store had to offer and so I began researching and realized GOATS! We needed to bring dairy goats to our land to provide her with milk.

And so it began with 2  goats. After that came 12 chickens and a package of bees. Five years later we now have 3 dogs, 5 goats, 24+ chickens, 2 barn cats, a bunny, and 2 bee colonies with plans to add new animals this year.

To us homesteading is about more than just the animals or providing food for our family.  Homesteading is a way to bring us together as a family, to build character in our children, to share with our community. It is our prayer to use this land, these animals, and the knowledge we gain to bless others.

Here we hope to share a small glimpse into our daily life whether it be homeschool lessons, chaotic animal adventures, or a homemaking project.
